I’m a maximalist. Period. What I love and appreciate about maximalism is the expression of personality through decor and style. But in this post, I want to focus on maximalism when it comes to home decor.

This past year, minimalism was very much in and trending. One of the attractions to this type of aesthetic is that a clean and clear space can make people feel at ease, tranquil, and at peace. But oftentimes a palette of whites and grays take away from the story of who you are and where your interests lie. It’s pretty and nice, but when I walk in someone’s home, I want my eyes to wonder the walls, tables, and floors to allow me to explore new things about the home owner and their taste, travels, and heirlooms that help tell a story about who they are at their core.
