Singer Ciara is all dolled up on the latest September cover of Paper Magazine. So adorbs! She is making some bomb hair cut and color decisions lately, and the new dark do is a perfect style transition for Fall. Not to mention, a necessary separation from Baddie Bey’s new chic, blonde bob.
Lately we’ve seen CiCi in a plethora of Givenchy menswear inspired looks to compliment her rapper beau Future. She tells Paper Mag:
I don’t wear a dress regularly, but even if I do, you have to put some attitude into it. I like a leather skirt, which gives you some toughness, but a feminine touch too. I like the androgynous thing with a hard edge: I make things rock ‘n’ roll — but still pretty.
Come to find out Ciara was born in Austin, TX. I had no idea! Y’all know that’s where I’m from right? Well, if you didn’t, now you do.
In her interview, she talks about her fifth album, Ciara, in which she describes as being “tough yet pretty” and “light and upbeat…with a lot of heart and passion.” She also gives the inside scoop on her relationship with Future and how compatible they are together. That’s so sweet 🙂
I love Ciara’s new image and I love the opportunities she’s been taking advantage of to remain in the spotlight. But something is missing. I don’t think she seizes enough of the right moments to really make a statement to her audience. She’s a beautiful woman who is coming into her own image and style, but she’s still trying to show us who she is. Why don’t we know by now? I hope this new album, relationship, and image give her the platform to really show us what she’s got … outside of just her looks. Give me more CiCi!
I love the styling from the feature. She should definitely look back into modeling. To read the full interview you can visit the Paper Mag site here.
What do you think about Ciara’s new look? Do you think she’s made the right statement or is she still just kind of “around” ?
