My focus this summer is to revamp my kicks collection. It’s time for some new and improved babies to join the closet club, because I have run all of my poor little sandals straight into the ground.

I spied these sexy olive green sandals at Zara a couple of months ago and could not leave the store without them. Zara gets all my coins, every time. This particular heel and color is perfect because it will transition well from summer to fall. The olive shade serves as a neutral making it just as versatile as black or nude. I will admit, the arch is a tad steep and there’s no platform so you get a MAJOR calf workout. But hey, sexy legs are in.

My second dope find is a super steal from Target. Yes, Target. Every now and then I find a gem in the shoe section, but let me tell you a secret … when you find a gem, you must snatch it up right then or there or 92.53 % of the time it won’t be there when you come back after you’ve pondered about it. I always say, get it and you can always bring it back it you change your mind. Just be sure to check out the return policy prior to purchasing.

Now I am NOT a Birkenstocks kind of girl, but these were just too cute to pass up. The black leather and gold studs definitely won me over. They literally whispered to me , “Hey…Mak….take us home, try something new.” So I caved.

These sandals are by Sam & Libby, who (fun fact), are also the design partners behind Sam Edelman shoes (Sam and Libby Edelman). Dope right? These cost me a cool $29.99 and are super comfy. I like to style them with a pair of cut off boyfriend shorts or boyfriend jeans and a loose white tank or tee. Keep it simple and effortless.
